Description:
Q took after his father, to his dismay, and is tall for his age and almost painfully thin though he has put on a little weight, about 20 pounds. He has also grown 4 inches taller.
BACKGROUND
POWERS/TACTICS
Q's only power is his prodigious intelligence and through that, his powered armor. He is constantly making improvements on the PAPA and is secretly looking for some way to embed the powers of the suit into his body. Toward this end his current line of study has become biology and human physiology.
In the PAPA he is considerably stronger than the average Meta, faster and capable of flight. He has installed a vast array of sensory systems that make him an excellent look-out or forward observer. The combat systems he has designed and installed gives him a variety of attacks from pin-point lasers to area effect explosives. His smoke bombs, in particular, annoy his teammates as he is the only one with ability to see through it. Recent addition is his Stun Bomb, a TASER-based attack that covers an area and remains in effect for a number of seconds.
The first generation PAPA suits tended toward the anime in look and design, with massively over-sized weapons and features. As Q has become more enamoured with Belle, he has shifted his designs to a more humanistic appearance. The current unit envisions Q's ideal body, appearing slender but well-muscled and for the most part looking 'human'. At some off-hand remark by Belle, he has even added faux dreadlocks to the helmet. Surprisingly, but not unexceptedly, he has managed to make the addition blend nicely. It has certainly caught the attention of the media and he now finds himself the occasional center of a fan-girl attack.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Q is short on social skills and very long on technical skills. He is arrogant, irritating and totally oblivious to the complexities of social intercourse. He will expound on his latest engineering coup ad nausium or on his latest chess conquest. He is constantly talking over the heads of others and takes delight in belittling those that cannot keep up with his train of thought. He is also totally insecure in his relationship with people he does like, such as Ranger and Belle. And Belle completely stuns him. He has a major crush on her and instantly hates anyone he sees as a rival for her affections, such as Carlos Sentara who is one of his particular favorite targets for nasty remarks concerning intelligence. Nat Ryan is the other though he suspects Nat is not nearly so stupid as he would like him to be. And speaking of Nat Ryan, Wren Collins scares the pee out of him and because of that, he will usually pull in the insults when she's within ear shot. Other than that, he's a 16 year old kid with all the maturity that goes with it.
One thing, however, is his sincere desire to be a superhero. He wants to help people and represent his nation. The only drawback ,as he sees it, is brains are not as flashy as brawn so he envies his teammates, even Bolt, their overt powers.
Q loves chess, a legacy from his father, and loathes computer/video games.
CAMPAIGN USE
Q is the smart-assed brilliant child trying to fit into an adult, or 'more adult' team. He is a source of annoyance as well as a concern for the others since they all see him as a kid. Outside of the Patriot suit he is extrememly fragile.
DESIGN NOTES
While updating Patriot I noticed I had made a mistake. You cannont take both OIHID and a Focus.This was a stupid error on my part as I knew this. I have corrected this error and will watch for it in other characters.
