The Minutemen Team Blue

With growing experience locating and recruiting young metahumans, the United States government, a.k.a. Special in Charge Agent Reginald Miller, began to fill out the ranks of what would become the Minuteman Team Blue.  The first, Ave Alosese, a young American Samoan, came to his attention when she extinguishing a house fire, started a rapid influx of new recruits. Becca Acosta, Mike Zykowski, Thomas Nguyen, Dusk Leaf, Ben Thomas, Jack Vargo and Snowy King soon follow.

A request from the former Sgt. Steel, a member of the Allies Patriot Team during World War II, placed the newly formed Legacy Team, Team White, is position requiring quick action. Sgt. Steel’s great granddaughter had been kidnapped and her father killed.  With the help of several of his former teammates, Sgt. Steel located his granddaughter in UTAH but being over eighty years old, he knew his limitations.

Nat Ryan immediately set a plan in motion that very night and within four hours had rescued the girl from the clutches of a Survivalist group who had discovered the girl’s metahuman powers of healing. Legacy avoided killing anyone that night by allowing their only non-meta freedom of action.  For the second time, Venatrix answered the call, taking out twelve armed kidnappers.  J Watson, fourth generation Metahuman immediately joined the Legacy and shortly after was indoctrinated into the Minuteman Project Team Blue.

With the manifestation of Paige Temple, the youngest member of the Minutemen, the team is complete with a total of ten.

Update 2010

Things don't always work out the way they are planned.  Several months after the Team had reached its target membership of ten, Ben Thomas, who is the guardian of Jack Vargo and Snowy King, made the annoucement the three of them would be leaving the Minutemen. Their collective concern with this move was that the government would be keeping an eye on the trio for the rest of their lives. Nat Ryan halted all of Miller's plan to keep them under surveillance and they returned to their home.

With three members short, a search began for replacements.  This proved more difficult than expected but at last David Adamos, Shaun Grady and Peter Williams agreed to join.  This was a marked change from the recruiting of teens as all three were somewhat older than the usual 12 to 16. The rest of the Team is adjusting and Nat keeps a close eye on things.

Originally Nat had planned to move Kena from the White Team to the Blue but the addtion of Shaun Grady aka Flameout made that move unnecessary plus Nat didn't want two fire bugs in the same team. David Adamos had been located by outside partys and was being held in an island in the Aegean. It wawsn't the first time Nat Ryan took parts of is team across international borders. The island was infiltrated, David was rescued and he agreed to join the Blue Team as Catalyst. Dr. Peter Williams volunteered to join the group as Synergy. He and Alicia 'Midnight' Cross spend hours in the hanger talking physics. Nat would not be surprised if the two of them won a Nobel Prize in Physics and invent an affordable cold fusion reactor.
