Description:
Cricket is gorgeous with very long honey gold hair and almost steel grey eyes. For those that work with her, she is the hottest nerd in the Army even if her know-it-all attitude is a little off-putting. NOTE: I know, her hair is too long for the military, but one of her metahuman traits is that her hair grows really, really fast.
BACKGROUND
Army brat, both parents in the military. Mom was in Army Intelligence, dad was an Apache pilot. Graduated from MIT as an Engineer, Electrical, Mechanical and Weapons Systems. Became an Apache pilot like her father. Her design of the PIXIE suit has been a closely kept secret and since no one understands how she has made it linked to her personally, she has continued to work for the Army. When the Minuteman Project, i.e., Q, was told about her, they began to work together. It frustrates Q to no end that he doesn't understand how she has designed the PIXIE so that only she can operate it. For some time the Army has wanted to stop her research until she 'spills her guts' but after a long talk with the Director of the Minuteman Project and with the backing of the President, she was reassigned to the Minutemen.
POWERS/TACTICS
Cricket is in her early to mid-twenties with six years at MIT, plus about two years with the army working on weapons design. She's in great physical shape but with no exceptional i.e. metahuman physical characteristics. Pixie makes up for any 'short-comings' by boosting her strength, dexterity and speed into the metahuman range. Without the Pixie, however, she is quite fragile. She has installed in the suit the world's first plasma type weapon that rivals the first man-portable LASER in 1967 and the first man-protable partical weapon the following year. The major difference being hers is affordable.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Cricket flat refused to help the Army create any more PIXIE units, which frustrated the brass. With Goliath's backing and given the fact the girl has advanced 'plasma' weapons technology by a couple of decades, they placed her under the perview of the Minutmen. She is focused and intense while working and that the PIXIE suit has become sentient has not occured to her. She treats it as an advanced Alexa/Siri interface. The suit will not respond to any voice commands but hers.
CAMPAIGN USE
Pixie began as nothing more than a pretty much standard girl-in-a-can but then PIXIE informed me that I was incorrect. PIXIE is included as part of Pixie's character sheet which violates my original concept of 350 point characters, plus or minus a few points. No excuses, it is as I wish it.
