Character Name: Goliath
Alternate Identities: Nathaniel Ryan
Player Name: Phil
Hair Color: Sun-bleached Blonde
Eye Color: Sea Blue
Height: 7' 3"
Weight: 318 lbs
Nat Ryan is huge and bronzed with short sun-bleached blonde hair and dazzling sea blue eyes. His face is smooth and handsome, still with a hint of youth, and, for so powerful a young man, his body while, though well-defined, is does not betray the strength that lies beneath the tanned skin. Nat is a surfer and used to dress the part, ragged cut offs, muscle tee shirts and little else. Wren's influence subtly changed his wardrobe and now it is not unusual to find him in tailored jeans or slacks and wearing shirts so well cut as to cause many a girl's head to turn as he passes. Amazingly, he has also taken to wearing shoes now and then. When they dine out, something that has become more and more common, the tall and elegant Wren Collins on the arm of the massive and handsome Nat Ryan tends to make entire rooms pause to watch them.
Before their departure from the Wild Hunt, Nat had requested the help of the group's computer, Spock, with the design of a costume. It was left up to Wren which of the resultant outfits she preferred. Her choice, with a few color modifications, became the costume for Goliath. Of course Nat figured he had the right to help her with her choices once she decided her own costume was necessary. (See Giselle)
Four years with the Legacy has turned Nat into exactly what Ghost Archer had expected of him, a leader. Nat has a natural charisma and easy way with his friends that has forged them into a highly effective team. He is still, and will always be, the team's 'boy scout' but he has also developed into a brilliant tactician seeing the myriad of possible interactions of the team's powers and incorporating them into actions.
Already emotionally tied to Wren Collins and Brit Stanton, the rest of the team has become the siblings he never had making him highly protective of them. While they constantly find themselves in dangerous situations Nat seems to inherently know when things are beyond them and, unless lives are at stake, will call for a withdrawal without hesitation.
As Nat Ryan, he has changed very little but as Goliath he has become the stalwart symbol of Justice in the San Diego area whose growing fame will probably lead to national then international notoriety.

Nathaniel is 21 and in his third year at UCLA
In the beginning there was STRENGTH and little else in Nat's mind. Now, though his own powers have changed little in four years, there is the powers and talents to the team. Goliath has become expert at utilizing the resources of the Legacy sometimes in surprising and innovative ways. The team has come to recognize that gleam in his blue eyes when a new tactic has presented itself.

That is not to say that Nat hasn't discovered a few new tricks. The leaping has improved until he can cover several miles in a single bound. He has also developed enough control with his power to toss things into orbit or punch things there if he feels it necessary.

Recently, at both Wren and Chris' insistance, Nat has begun hand to hand training with Chris though he refuses any and all instruction that would require him to strike someone.
Nat is pretty easy to described, a huge Boy Scout. He tends to see things in black and white and take people at face value. He doesn't understand the more manipulative people he has met recently and it has gotten his hurt. Will he change? Maybe, after a few years, after people have had a chance to make him cynical but until then he'll remain the easy going surfer he's always been.
Goliath is a classic Brick and provides the team's muscle but he is also developing into a leader and is becoming the moral conscience of the group.
