Description:
As a dragon, Tsar is a magnificent ruby in color, deep red and luminous. His wing span is somewhat less than Oldest of Dragons but no less impressive. As a human he prefers long black hair, golden eyes, and a tall lean form, nicely muscled but not overly so. At home, in his treehouse, he prefers silk shirts and crisply pressed slacks and goes barefoot. On a mission he dresses in expensive hand made Saval Row suits, silk ties and italian shoes. As the Red Thing he is a tiny version of his true dragon form, still the incredible ruby red with golden eyes. He is only about 18" nose to tail and weighs only about two pounds. His favorite spot in Red Thing form is draped around Rogue's shoulders, his tail gently encircling her neck.
BACKGROUND
From the dawn of time he came, complete Master of the Balance between Good and Evil, his very existence not even guessed. His history is as vast as his experience and he has seen everything. Tsar's involvement with the Wild Hunt began when he manipulated Ghost Archer and his group into a trip across the galaxy to stem an invasion of a peaceful world. The mission resulted in success for Ghost Archer and Tsar but the death of Sparkler began an animosity on the Archer's part that has yet to abate.
Nearly a year ago, Tsar approached Ghost Archer with a mission to again save a planet but Archer's own commitments to Thistle precluded his aiding the Master of Balance. The rest of the Wild Hunt was recruited and for the first time Tsar encountered Lady Rogue of the Ocean. He was familiar with the desire this svelte young girl inspired in him and at first he thought nothing of it. However, after the group completed their mission, Tsar began to take an interest in the beautiful Rogue. Archer's return from his travels without Thistle kindled something new in the Dragon, jealousy, for Rogue's concern for her former love pricked a nerve in Tsar. As usual, his evil side surfaced and in spite he began to use his magic to increase Archer's despair at Thistle's apparent death while increasing his attraction to Rogue. Thistle sudden return after many months halted his well-laid plans and made Tsar realize his true feelings for Rogue. Ghost Archer has not forgiven or forgotten the incident no matter that Tsar strives to make amends.
Tsar has taken up residence in a house built in a Mallorn tree transported from Narel's home world of Arda. With Rogue's help he has decorated the tree house and made it a warm and comfortable abode, far different then the cave dwellings he is used too. Recently, he and Rogue journeyed to her home world of V but that story will be chronicled elsewhere.
POWERS/TACTICS
It is difficult to imagine a being more powerful than Tsarsaidor, his skills with magic are vast and varied but he is not one to display his full power, preferring minor magics or manipulating others into doing the work for him. His very physical strength and speed makes him a nearly unbeatable foe but coupled with his magic, he is supreme.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Tsar before meeting Rogue was a cold, methodical being, concerned only with the Balance and caring nothing of the results of his actions. He was ruthless in his manipulation of others and thought nothing of condemning millions to death. Those that knew of his existence found him a heartless practical joker that could only be influenced by intense flattery or downright begging. Always the lives he touched change dramatically and rarely to the good. He used everyone and everything to maintain his precious Balance.
Then came Rogue. She unleashed in him millions of years of pent up emotions leaving him dazed and confused. His sense of the Balance slipped and for a time the Universe tipped violently back and forth. Slowly with the help of the woman he loved he came to grips with his tumultuous soul and has become a kinder Master of Balance. Now he regrets the Evil he must do and strives to minimize it's effect, as a result the Universe is slowly sliding into a Golden Age.
Tsar is an inquisitive being, given to constant investigation of all around him. He still has a slightly twisted sense of humor and delights in practical jokes few find funny. Another thing the 'old' Tsar would never have been, the 'new' Tsar is a caring, loving being. His newest joy is in helping his new friends, unfortunately, his idea of help does not always coincide with their point of view.
Rogue is now the most important thing in his life and he loves her to distraction, so much so, in fact, that for a time he tried to deny his very nature as Balance. After accompanying Rogue to her home world he learned it was possible to love this girl and do his job as Master of Balance.
CAMPAIGN USE
Tsar is nothing more than a pain in the ass. He doesn't directly interfer in the PC's lives except to force them into doing his bidding and even then he prefers to trick them rather than make them.
