A Champions/Hero System *5th Edition RPG Website: Est. December, 1998

The Wild Hunt Blog

In 1982 I discovered a new game called Champions ®. Published then by Hero Games ®, it proved to be an excellent game that has endured. My first character, Ghost Archer, has provided 26 years of enjoyable gaming. Since the advent of the 'Net I have watched faithfully for sights concerning Champions.  I have been disappointed in some and truly appreciative of others. I have decided to add my two cents. The Wild Hunt began with a few players at a hobby shop called the White Heron in Norfolk, Virginia.  During the years we played there, many characters came and went. Some were just 'walk-ons', others endured.  This will be an on-going project and suggestions will be appreciated. If, by chance, any of my former players happen upon this site, please contact me and let me know how you are doing. This page is dedicated to all past, present and future members of the Wild Hunt.

Take a look at The Hero System Info Page to see what this system has to offer.

Note to my many players:  Over the years I have created numerous characters and helped to create many more.  The main problem has always been getting my players to actually write up a background.  As I have been in a mood to write, I have decided to come up with histories for as many characters as I can.  If what I write does not quite fit the original player's conception, too bad, I asked for something from each and every one and if you don't like what I write, do it yourself.

*Recently Hero Games has produced the Hero System 6th Edition and while I whole-heartedly support their work and urge other, especially new players, to pick up this fine pair of tomes, the Wild Hunt will remain a 5th Edition site for the foreseeable future.  I do this because of the enormous number of character sheets I have available and the massive amount of time it would take me to switch over, not to mention the cost incurred in doing so.  I have been given both the Hero System 6th Edition - Basic Rules Book and the Hero System 6th Edition - Advanced Players Guide so I plan to read them over, perhaps incorporating portions, therefore I am not long 'uninformed' as previously argued on the Hero Boards.
