In
1982 I discovered a new game called Champions ®.
Published then by Hero Games ®,
it proved to be an excellent game that has endured. My first character,
Ghost Archer, has provided 25 years of enjoyable gaming. Since the advent
of the 'Net I have watched faithfully for sights concerning Champions.
I have been disappointed in some and truly appreciative of others. I have
decided to add my two cents. The Wild Hunt began with a few players at
a hobby shop called the White Heron in Norfolk, Virginia. During
the years we played there, many characters came and went. Some were just
'walk-ons', others endured. This will be an on-going project and
suggestions will be appreciated. If, by chance, any of my former players
happen upon this site, please contact me and let me know how you are doing.
This page is dedicated to all past, present and future members of the Wild
Hunt.
Take a look
at The Hero System Info Page to see what this system
has to offer.
Years ago,
during a trip to England, Ghost Archer encountered the Celtic manifestation
of Good, the Wild
Hunt. The uncontrollable urge to join the Hunt gripped the Archer and drew
him along. A group of Viper agents proved to be the quarry for the
night's chase and their technology was more than the ancient Wild Hunt
could handle. One by one the hounds of the pack fell until only the Master
remained. Ghost Archer was too late arriving and found the Master mortally
wounded by Viper. Realizing he was no longer able to cope with modern technology
the Master proclaimed Ghost Archer his heir as he died. Ghost Archer continues
as the Master of the Wild Hunt today. Gone, however, is the hound pack
of old, replaced by Heroes of all types. On his return to his home in San
Francisco he began recruiting his new pack. The Hunt, as it became known,
is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. |
