Campaign History, Character Creation and RPG Philosophy

I need to write … Seems I have been in the doldrums for a couple years now and the urge is coming back a little at a time so I decided to post a few things here that no one has seen.  As usual, this will be in disconnected bits and pieces since it is impossible for me to write in a linear fashion for more than a few pages.  I am going to start with stuff I have had on file for some time and in re-reading and doing a little editing, hope that I might catch fire … er … is that a book already?  I might give a little explanation at the beginning, or I might not, depending on whether I feel it is in order to set up the scene.  So … let’s see what happens …
