Description:
Thistle is a beautiful girl just coming into womanhood. She has long golden hair and a clear tanned complexion. A sprinkling of freckles dust her nose and shoulders. Her hands are slim and long fingered with tiny scars of the burns she gets from her work at the forge. She is well muscled and lithe with long slim legs. Thistle's face is, perhaps, her most striking feature. Her marvelous green eyes, perfect nose and beautiful lips are truly cause for open admiration. She dresses in a white shirt and bodice with modern black jeans and hiking boots. She carries a long bow, sword and the sapphire Staff of Ishtar.
BACKGROUND
Thistle Grey is half-elven. Born in the elven Realm of Stonewood, she grew up with a strong rapport with Nature and studied the ways of the Druids. Radell Grey, her father, is human and her elven mother is Calinae. About two years ago her father, a blacksmith, decided to return to the human world and Thistle traveled with him. The two set up shop in the city of Arindel in the Western Shores. Her father disappeared and while looking for him she encountered Ghost Archer. The attraction between them was immediate. Archer, the detective in him taking over, decided to help Thistle locate her father. They are still searching for him with the help of the other members of the Wild Hunt. Thistle's calling to the worship of Ishtar placed her on a Quest to prove herself worthy to be a Cleric of Ishtar. She and Archer are traveled to another dimensions to fulfill her mission and it was there that Thistle was apparently killed when she stepped in front of an arrow meant for Ghost Archer. The wound was mortal and the Ring of Este Archer had given her took her to the feet of her Goddess, Ishtar. There she learned that her mother was the daughter of Ishtar and that she was to be an Avatar of her Goddess. She returned to Ghost Archer after many months and the separation has put a strain on their relationship but not their love. Currently they are off somewhere relearning each other.
POWERS/TACTICS
Thistle is trained in melee combat and, of course, the bow. Her skills in magic are formidable and rapidly expanding. She specializes in Druidic magic and the Church of Ishtar, two magical forms that mesh nicely. She is very new to actual combat and has yet to develop a standard set of tactics. Trying her vast variety of magic appears to be her first priority. Up close she uses the Staff of Ishtar to good effect.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Thistle's life in the sheltered world of elves has produced a wide-eyed innocent in Archer's world. She is excited about everything she encounters that is new to her and takes great delight in her new experiences. Sweet, caring and loving describes her reactions to people in general. She has not a cynical bone in her body. In combat, she is regretful of the injuries she may cause but understands the need at times. Thistle's 'death' has changed her, made her more somber.
