Description: | |||||
Though Holly was born human, when she was in her mid-teens, she was taken to the NeverNever by the Lord Oberon of the Summer Court. Over the years her very physical form began to change, taking on the features and mannerisms of the Seelie until at last she was indistinguishable from the Seelie. She is of average height for a woman, about 5'5" and slender, weighting only 115 pounds. Though beautiful as a human, her Seelie influenced features made her stunning. She has heart-shaped face, small pointed chin, slanted violet eyes and full lips all framed by thick curls of summer gold that cascade down her body to below mid-thigh. Her most noticeable feature, however, are her pointed elvish ears that stick out through her tresses some two inches. Her body, even after two babies, is a youthful as the day Oberon had taken her. Small, high breasts, a small ribcage, flat stomach and narrow hip with perfectly shaped legs that seem impossibly long for her height turn heads in more than the mortal world. Though once more in the realm of her birth, she still dresses as the Seelie, usually in light summer colors, all flowing gossamer that offers regular glimpses of her bronzed body. She prefers thigh-high boots of soft white leather with pointed toes that button up her legs. Well . . . that is if she dresses at all. Ida is glad they live so far out in the hills but sometimes gets uncomfortable with Holly’s wandering the house and yard in the nude. |

BACKGROUND | |||||
Where she came from and when she was born not even Holly can say. As she retains the appearance of a girl in her teens, it can be assumed she came to the NeverNever at that age but now she could as easily be a thousand years old as twenty. All she remembers is her life as consort to the Lord Oberon, husband of Titania, Queen of the Summer Court. In the Mortal Realm to be consort to another woman’s husband might seem a problem, especially when the consort finds herself an open member of the Court. The ways of the Seelie are not those of mortals though and Titania is very tolerant of her husband’s liaisons even if they do last far longer then his normal infatuations. The only thing that has ever offered a change in her life was the time she stepped wrong and was returned to the Realm of her birth. Out of the faery gate she came, bewildered and terrified but there she found a kind and gentle man who came to love her and in the fullness of time gave her a child. For a brief time she experienced the mortal world and the excitement of true love but Oberon was a jealous lover. When he found her, he took her without warning or word to her mortal husband, leaving him only the daughter she had borne. Once returned to the Immortal Realm, a spell was cast upon her and her memories of the man and child vanished from her mind. Determined to maintain his claim on her Oberon allowed her to conceive a child but Titania was not so open minded as to allow this changeling to grow into a permanent bond between her husband and his consort and so the child was abandon in the Mortal Realm and once again Holly was given forgetfulness. Time in the Mortal Realm passed as was its mission and the two children grew, one in the loving home provided by a caring father, the other in harsher circumstance. When war was upon the NeverNever, changelings of all ilk were called to choose the parent of their birth they wished to follow and when the Summer Lady passed it was in the presence of the younger of these two children and she became the new Summer Lady called Lilly. The other child followed the mortal path unknowing of her magical heritage until Fate stole from her all that was her world, her loving father. In her the magic of her mother awakened and was powerful nearly beyond any before. She stood on the edge of Blackness only to be hauled back from the abyss by one of the few equal to her in magic. It was through this other Holly was discovered to be the lost mother of not only Lilly, but the now orphaned Ivy. It was through this other that Holly was returned all she had forgotten and given a choice she had not had before, remain in the NeverNever or return to the Mortal Realm and come to know her children. She chose her children over being the forever consort of a Lord of the Seelie. Now she is an innocent in the world of man, slowly losing her Seelie-ness but just as slowly regaining her humanity. It is all an adventure just begun. |

POWERS/TACTICS | |||||
Holly’s powers are very limited. The few spells she knows are mainly concerned with things that would make Oberon happy and so Ida has a long road ahead teaching her any other types of magic. Also, her magic is Seelie magic and so brought into bring with a mere thought but Ida is sure this is only temporary as Holly’s humanity slowly begins to reassert itself and the Seelie influence fades.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Holly’s personality has been dominated for so long by the Lord Oberon that she has little awareness of independence. She sees her return to the mortal realm as a huge adventure but really does not think it will be a permanent thing. Within a few weeks, she believes, Oberon will return and take her once more into the NeverNever and she will return to the way it has always been. The trouble in her little dream is Ivy and the house that Herb built for her. It is slowly building in her a resentment of the Seelie Lord and though she would return to him, she no longer knows if she will ever be content with him again. Ida finds Holly as child-like as any five year old, spoiled, temperamental, demanding, self-centered and oblivious to anything that isn’t directly important to Holly. Whatever is on Holly’s mind, come out of her mouth much to the dismay of her mentor. Holly is also very . . . sensual, constantly talking about sex in the rawest of human terms, terms she seems to take great delight in using just to discomfort Ida. Several times she has suggested to Ida a foray into the NeverNever in search of willing satyrs and her constant discourse on the imagined sexual exploits of Ivy and Ash never cease to make Ida cringe. Underneath it all, Holly is a very lost child desperate to find the family she has lost. Though she knows who Ivy and Lilly are, she has yet to figure out exactly what she is supposed to do as their mother. As she grows closer to her daughters and Ida maybe she will find a true home at last. |
