BACKGROUND
POWERS/TACTICS
A Corpsetaker is a creature that swaps bodies with it's victim. The normal method is to battle an individual to the point that the corpsetaker's current body is dying, then sucker the victim in close and swap bodies. The corpsetaker's original body then dies, with a little help from the corpsetaker in it's new body, and none are the wiser . . . for the moment. As this it the standard method of existence for a corpsetaker, it must accept the new body with all it's physical defects and benefits. It has no control over this. the corpsetaker does, however, retain it's own mental abilities, memories and skills. Sometimes a skill may not be as efficient as it had been in it's original body but with time in grows used to the new body. Should a victim of a corpsetaking survive, they will find themselves in an entirely different body that will take some adjustment, especially adapting the more physical skills to the new body's limitations and strengths.
Once a corpsetaker has made this swap, the only way to reverse it is to have the corpsetaker do so voluntarily. If, as planned, the former occupant of the contested body dies in the damaged body they find themselves inhabiting, their 'soul' is gone forever and cannot be recovered and replaced in their original body.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Corpsetaker's sole concern it it's own survival and it will do everything it can to insure that survival.
